ok, so here I go again, after IE failed me AGAIN...
here's my entry for
and as you can see, this is Cinderella!
anyways, I had to pick a deviation from Elysianskies, and my choice was: [link]
it has a pretty colour palete ^^
let me first start with the "things" I "stole" from her original design: all the lace you see here, including her chocker, comes from her design, as you can see after taking a close look at it
I really liked to use it as the cherry on the top of the cake, it gives a nice touch ^^
the sleeves are another part I used, mainly because I love that king of sleeves and because they're beautiful for dresses.
and finally, the colour scheme: here I decided to stick just with the pink and the green, and since she said I could work with different shades, here it is
now, reasons for this design!
I've always loved the princess-ish big wide dresses so, I couldn't resist to do this design like that, especially being for a princess!
but... Elysianskies said she wanted to see the shoe... oh noes, what to do? bah! that's easy! I decided to make the fabric a little higher that the hoopskirt, so that way we could see the hoopskirt and thee shoes! and about them, yes, must not forget that. you may not see them very well, but they're in glass (duh) and they have the same design of the lace carved on them ^^ pwetty huh?
I had a big art-block when deciding what to do next (the shoes came in the end, just so you know) so, after doing the general pose, and having decided she would wear a off-shoulder dress, I went to see my images looking for an idea, even if it was a small detail. finaly I bumped into this: [link]
and as you can see, or not, it gave me the bodice idea. ^^ I think that the design I did fits very well with the bodice shape.
about the skirt, I got more tiny ideas from 2 deviations from here - Pretty ren girl [link]
and Queen of the night [link]
it's not much yes, but these two helped me coming up with the perfect design. so a big thanks to you!
when colouring, it was hard, because I knew the colours, but I had to try 2 or 3 times (with copies of course) till I found the perfect combination. untill I found it, the other combinations of the colours and their locations just didn't seem to fit, you know? unfortunely the pink isn't exactly the real one... oh well, can't blame the scanner, it just did its job right?edit:
changed the colours a bit, I believe it looks better now. tell me your opinion
ok, so I talked about the inspirations, the design itself and the colours... guess that's it!
hope I'm still on time... gotta go and take care of fairygod mother too!!
just a bit of my here:
soundtrack of the four designs: Michael Bublé (album-call me irresponsible), Miley Cyrus (Time of our lives) and Cinema Bizarre (Final Atraction). uuuh! what a combination! xD although I must say that Michael helped me more during the sketching part ;D
